Good To Know

The questions we hear most.

Straight answers about how we work, what we charge, and why homeowners have waited weeks for a spot on our calendar since 1991.

How much is a service call?

Our service call is $250. A one- or two-man crew travels out, troubleshoots, and repairs — most small fixes are done within the first hour. Each additional hour is $225, and materials are billed separately. Your techs keep you informed the whole way through.

Do you write estimates on-site?

Yes. Our crews diagnose the issue and write a clear estimate right there on the spot. Approve it and we can often complete the work the same day. If you'd rather not proceed, we leave at no cost to you.

Will you tell me if I don't actually need a panel change?

Absolutely — and we do it regularly. We won't recommend a panel change or repair your home doesn't need. We've even saved customers money by proving to their homeowner's insurance that a swap wasn't necessary. If it's fine, we'll tell you it's fine.

Which old panels do insurers flag?

Carriers commonly flag Federal Pacific, Zinsco, Challenger, and Pushmatic/Bulldog panels for fire and shock risk. If you've received a letter from your insurer, we can assess whether an upgrade is genuinely required and handle a safe, insurance-ready replacement.

Are you certified for Tesla and EV charger installs?

Yes. We're a certified Charge Ready Home Contractor and a trusted Tesla installer. We wire garages with code-correct 240v circuits and clean, concealed routing so the finish looks like it belongs in your home.

Do you offer emergency service?

Our emergency line is open 24/7, every day of the year, for urgent service calls, power outages, and troubleshooting. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

How do you protect my home during a visit?

Every technician wears booties inside, lays down drop cloths, and cleans up completely — we even bring our own vacuum. Since 1990 we've stayed clean, courteous, and on time, and the house is spotless when we leave.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

No — we're strictly residential. Focusing only on homes means every crew is tuned to the realities of a house, not a commercial job site, which is exactly why homeowners across Orange County trust us with their spaces.

What areas do you cover?

From our Laguna Hills base, our nine-truck fleet serves Orange County, Northern San Diego County, portions of Riverside County, and Southern Los Angeles County. Not sure if we reach you? Give us a call and we'll tell you straight.

Still Have A Question?

Just ask — we'll be straight with you.
